History

In 1971, Martin Förster founded his engineering office in Engen next to the Lake of Constance and invented the automatic calf feeder. This marked the beginning of automatic feeding in the calf barn. Since then, the company has grown steadily.

1971

Establishment of the engineering office for the construction of new automatic calf feeders.

1977

Start of in-house production of ad libitum automatic feeders for calves and lambs.
Förster-Technik quickly establishes itself among many other manufacturers in Germany.

1990-1995

Market launch of the Stand Alone feeder with the first integrated processor control for automatic calf feeders.

1999-2004

Förster-Technik receives numerous awards from the German Agricultural Society (DLG) and the Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag.

With the VARIO automatic calf feeder, the company is heralding a new era of automatic feeders.

2005

Generational change: Markus and Thomas Förster take over the management from their parents Martin and Hildegard Förster.

2008

Förster-Technik presents the innovative SynchroFeed parallel feeding system and the Multilyser for the determination of milk progesterone.

2011

40-year company anniversary.

2012

The 40FIT technology and the world innovation CalfRail are exhibited at EuroTier 2012.

2014

Presentation of the colostrum management system ColostroFIT at EuroTier 2014.

2015

Introduction of the new COMPACT & VARIO smart generation of automatic feeders – Internet-enabled as standard.

2016

The “Smart Calf System” health management system is awarded the gold medal at EuroTier 2016.

2018

The product innovation “Smart Thermometer” is awarded the silver medal at Eurotier 2018.

2019

Construction of the 3200 m2 production hall on the company premises.

2021

50-year company anniversary.

2022

The new product “Clean & Fill Station” (extension to the MilchMobil NEXT) is awarded the silver medal at Eurotier 2022.

2024

The AI-based calf management tool CalfGPT is awarded the gold medal at EuroTier 2024.
