What is CalfPlan?
CalfPlan makes it possible for the first time to feed individual animals according to an age-dependent feeding plan without the need for additional aids such as RFID transponders on the hutches and RFID antennas. The calf hutches are simply numbered consecutively. The next calf hutch in which a calf is registered is automatically selected after each dosing. The system recognizes hutches without calves and skips the number.
What are the advantages of CalfPlan?
Age-dependent feeding promotes gradual growth and, in particular, the switch from milk to ruminant digestion. It improves animal welfare and calf performance. CalfPlan is so simple that even temporary staff can provide each animal with the correct amount of feed without any training.
